I am linking up with Amy Lemons at Step into 2nd Grade for a linky! This is a "tell all" linky to tell a little more about me. As some of you already know, there are three of us that run this blog. For this linky, I am going to just tell about myself.
First of all, I live in Indiana. As a Hoosier, there is more than corn in Indiana. We grow corn, have the home of the largest wooden rollercoaster at Holiday World, the home of the Indianapolis 500, and of course... we grow watermelon! Back in 1999, I was the Knox County Mrs. Watermelon Queen!
I think it is fitting, since I did work long hours in the watermelon fields turning vines and pulling weeds for almost 10 years! Yes, each summer I worked out in the fields to earn some cash!
I got married in 2004. The funny thing about our wedding, neither one of us wanted a big wedding. We dated for 7 years and just wanted to get married. I didn't want a wedding dress or spend a lot of money, so I wore a pant suit! The power went off the night of our wedding too! We had about 20 guests, who were all family. It was a memorable day! So, don't let anyone tell you a small wedding can't be memorable.
We waited 4 years to have our first son. His name is Coy! Then, we had our second son in 2010. We named him Reed. Reed was born with congenital glaucoma. It is very rare. He has had a total of 5 surgeries. Here is a picture of Reed after his first surgery.
I am WAY OLD-FASHIONED! My ringtone on my cellphone is the tune to Andy Griffith! I also have every episode of Andy Griffith on DVR!
I can not go a day without drinking Coke! I am so old-fashioned when I find coca-cola in a glass bottle, I buy all that they have. It is hard to find Coke in a glass bottle!
Now that you know more about me, link up with Amy Lemons to tell more about yourself!
Endless Possibilities,
Stephanie
