Monday Freebie!!

If you are like us this is your last week before Christmas break, which means a crazy week is ahead of us!  This week of school is always crazy but one of my favorite weeks of school...Christmas activities, carol sings, and way too much sugar :)  This week also reminds me that I have only ONE week to pick up last minute gifts...YIKES!  Here is a FREE gift to all of the teachers.

 I created this nonsense word freebie after a college suggested I make it...Thanks Mrs. Niehaus.  I played it in RtI groups last week and the kids loved it.

Pea-Pod Word Work Freebie!!

I know I do. Monday freebies...

We finally got rain here!  Yeah!!!!  But, along with it came a huge storm that knocked out power to about 12,000 people.   Thankfully, there was no major damage and no one was seriously injured.  I think it was just Mother Nature's way of saying "Here's your rain, now be quiet and stop complaining about me on Facebook."  (Speaking of Facebook, we finally got one and you can follow us here on Facebook!)

Here are our freebies for Manic Monday over at Classroom Freebies.

  Here is a word sort for real and nonsense words.  The kids sort the CVC words (after sounding them out) onto either a "Real" or "Nonsense" Sun!

 

 Also, here are some really cute bus tags for the first few weeks of school.  Our Kindergarten teachers use these tags to help make sure the kids get safely to the right buses.

Manic Monday Freebie! DIBELS NWF Sort

It's Manic Monday over at Classroom Freebies.  Here is a great freebie to get your scores up in DIBELS Nonsense Word Fluency.  Students match the frogs to the correct log (real word or nonsense word).  This is a great activity for small group work, center or station work.  There is a recording sheet included so that you know your kiddos are completing the activity and for you to check for understanding!

Nonsense Words FREEBIE!

If you do DIBELS, then you are familiar with nonsense words!  I am always looking for different, quick activities do with my small groups.  Sometimes they aren't easy to find, so I began making them.  Here is my newest activity that I have made.
